We believe in you and want to
help you in your
time of crisis, we have been down
the same road and found that no
help was avaible for those of us
who did not quite understand,
or couldn't comply
with CPS in a prompt manner. we have
learned through trial and error
the horrors
that we faced could have been
prevented
if just one person would have
tried to help instead of judging
and persecuting. This message is
to let you know that we are here
for you and willing
to take the time to listen. In no
uncertain terms are we affilited
with the state of Texas, or in
any of it's subsidaries. We are
an
independent organization trying to help mankind through life.
We are not attorneys or conselors just individuals
like you who were in a gruesome battle as we struggled through the process
of learning how to comply with CPS.
YOU TO CAN OVERCOME!
Services Provided by God's house
1) CPSs' FIRST CONTACT
At this point you have already been
contacted by Child Protective Services, they have probably removed your children
and you need guidance and direction on how to preoceed.
A Child Saftey Evaluation Plan should already be in place (this is a plan for
immediate and short term child safter). If your child/ children are not with your family then
they are in CPS's custody temporarily. The next step is requesting a kinship caregiver
home assesment. This request that your child/children be placed with a relative. Think of
every family member, evaluate and choose who would be the best fit care taker of your child for
a short term. Make sure that this person is a drug free family member who will put your child/children's interest
first. List everone who qualifies family or friends, pick people whom you are sure can pass a back ground check.
Please, do not waste any time listing people that have had a past CPS case and can pass a hair folicule test if necessary.
2) Service Plan
CPS service plan can take any where from 30 to 90 days before your CPS case worker even gives you this plan to get started.
However, you can start immediatley without the plan, because thier are basic requirements to every plan.
That you begin drug treatment immediatley, there are serveral places and CPS will pay for these services. It is recomended that you do inhouse
(which means staying a the facility) this is nearly alywas a two week programs. Then you will need to follow up with intensive out patient (IOP).
Next, there is a less active class supportive out patient (SOP). Once this is completed you will recieve completion certificates which are required
by CPS. You will be offered parenting classes during you stay at the facility, or they may be offered at other locations. Simply, you must
complete parenting classes and recieve a certificate before your children are returned to you. It is also recomemnded that you find and attend a 12
step program. Begin these things listed as soon as possible. Do not wait for your services plan, you need to take your own action.
3) Physchological and Drug Evaluations
Request that Child Protective Service set these appointments immediatley, they can sometime take months to get an appointment and you mist have these evaluations
completed before they will consider returning your child/children. Sometime you may have to make this request more than once to get the appointment set. The services are paid for by
CPS since they are the only ones who can make the appointments for you.
4) Please Listen
Remain completley drug and alcohol free, the classes you are attending and 12 step meetings will give you support.
This is a very serious matter and it will effect the rest of your life and you childrens. Do the right thing, get and stay clean.
This is only the begining so take the help that is being offered and utilize all the
information you recieve. Someday you may be able to help someone who is experiencing what you have gone through and made it through it sucessfully.
We have much more information for you which we will be glad to share through emails or as we update the website.
God loves you and wants you to be at piece with yourself.
